Volunteers are the heartbeat of Fresh Start Rescue. Whether you love organizing, helping behind the scenes, or connecting with the community, there’s a place for your talents here. Every task — big or small — helps save lives and keeps our mission moving forward.
Volunteer opportunities include the following.
Foster Support - Applicaiton Processing - Administartive Support - Community Engagement - Transport - Fundraising Support - Social Media & Marketing - Fresh Start Kids
Most volunteer roles require you to be 18 or older, or 16–17 with parent/guardian consent. Kids under 16 are welcome to help in supervised, non‑animal‑handling activities like crafting or events.
Fresh Start Rescue uses a quick, confidential background check for some volunteer roles to help keep our dogs and community safe. It’s simple, private, and only checks for information relevant to animal welfare. If your role requires one, we’ll walk you through the process after you apply.
